4bt Swap

4bt Swap
A quick update for those that are interested in a 4bt swap into a '99 4x4 ex cab.
Got my motor last year and have been tracking down parts for the swap and going through it as I have time. So far I've had to get:
Alternator and bracket (to test run it - could use OEM one from the Dakota I'm told)
Lift pump (old one was cracked)
Dodge Cummins flywheel/pressure plate/clutch/flywheel housing
Dodge Cummins clutch housing
Exhaust flange and V-band for turbo
Dodge Cummins starter
Hoses
Fuel lines
Various bolts/fasteners
Fired it up today bolted to a pallet in the garage - what a neat sound! Still have to plumb water lines to the radiator so I only ran it a few seconds but it was neat to hear! Video as I get time...
Don't know when I'm going to take the Dakota off the road and start the actual swap - still some things to work out on paper before I tear into it and I don't like the idea of being without my truck...
Plan is to use the stock transmission (AX-15) as long as it holds up - it's mostly an over the road truck so I expect it to do fine.
Fire away if you have questions. I'll take lots of pictures.

according to http://www.cumminsdieselspecs.com/4bt.html it makes 265lb tq...
Surely it has to make more than 265. With them being used in bread trucks they had to be slow as hell!!
