Well there you go.. its a matter of do you stomp on it.. do you try not to feather the gas... and so on.. :P

 

In my truck it doesnt matter ive tried it every which way. If im hard on it I get 12pg if I take it as easy as possible I get 12mpg

 

I just did a trip to the Asheville NC area and my truck was loaded,no more space in the cab or bed,and had a 6x12 trailer loaded and I was able to average 13.5 whick I was pleased with.Now the trip back,three people in the cab,luggage in the bed and trailer empty with gate folded down and I averaged 13.8. But I still love the looks of this truck and as for now the gas mileage does not bother me,this is what a truck is for.

 

You know they could have thrown in a 4 speed w/ O.D. instead of 3 speed with O.D.... could have dropped cruising speed down to 1500 instead of 2k...

Did that with my old 84 5.0 HO motor in my truck and it got way better gas milage.. upwards close to 18 ish.. Carb..
