neutral safety switch wiring chewed off
I have a 2000 Dakota 3.9 MagnumV-6 with 4 speed automatic transmission.
The issue I'm having is with the wiring going to the neutral safety switch, apparantly a racoon, or other such varmint has completly chewed off the wiring right at the plug, there is not enough wiring left exposed from the clip to work with. Dodge does not sell the part, no after market parts house has it either, and I have checked salvage yards within 100 miles of me with little success.
I am hopeful that posting here will result in someone having one avalible via a parted out vehicle, or a suggestion of where to search. Any help would be appreciated. I'd be more than happy to pay a reasonable price for the part, along with shipping costs.

So, if I understand this...
The plug at the end of the harness is still good...it is just no longer connected to the harness because something chewed it off...and did not leave enough wire for you to work with...
Why not just buy some wire of the appropriate gauge and hook up new leads to the plug? I am not sure of the exact type of wire to plug connector you have there, but if it is just the common pin-type, then you can use a small screwdriver like in an eyeglasses repair kit to push the pins out, take the pins off the old stubs of wire, put them on the new leads, and then slide them back into the plug. Then solder the leads back into the factory harness and wrap them with some heat shrink tubing. Connect the plug to the sensor.
Unless I am not understanding the issue of course...

The issue is that there is not enough wire at the clip to reconnct, the varmint literally severed the wire at the base of the clip, there is no way it can be fixed, there is only 1/16 of an inch of wire exposed at the clip, the clip must be replaced.

I suspect you have either 3 little metal posts poking up, 5 little metal posts poking up, 3 little metal lined holes, or 5 little metal lined holes...In any of those cases, the metal piece should be able to be forced backwards out of the clip...could be wrong of course...but those are the only methods that I have ever seen used to connect an NSS to a harness...
I seriously doubt you will find the clip anywhere for sale...since it is an integral part of the wiring harness...and its absence makes a harness essentially useless...
So, if it truly cannot be repaired, I suspect you must buy a new harness...
Which is why I would not be quite so quick to presume that the clip has to be replaced as opposed to being repaired...
Here are links to pics of the inside,(1st link) and outside of the plug,(2nd link) sorry the inner plug pic is so blurry, but that's the only one I could find a link to.
I have a temporary fix and got it running by shaving down the plastic around the base of the wires where they go into the clip, and adding connectors, but it's not a final solution. Any ideas are appreciated.
