Default by by ram hello dak

so i just sold my 94 ram with the 318 and auto. I am looking for a second gen dak with the 5.2 and a 5 spd. i would like to stay with the 5.2 cause i have a seasoned 360 block that i am building a 408. My question is what trans were in the 2.5 3.9 and 4.7 dakotas. i am looking to just have a good daily to pull a double jet ski trailer and if i stay around mid 13's in the quarter i will be happy.

As far as what models of dakota i should look at should i stay away from the 4cyl and 6cyl dak's i would assume there drivetrain would be weaker.

as always thanks guys

5.2 With a 5 speed is your only choice. You could maybe pull a NV3500 or something from a 5.9 (gas) Ram.

yeah my thoughts exactly from what i see the nv3500 came in the 5.2 dakotas. so my 408 should fall right in. and i got a 9.25 rear end from a parts truck so now i just gotta comb through the southeast trying to find a dinosaur truck with a 5.2 and a 5spd. But its been a dream of mine for a long time. ever since my 02 dakota with the 3.9 and a 5spd and a 75 shot that truck was fast...for what it was lol

4.7/5 speeds are hard to find, at least around me.
