Default wait what, no oil?

so like last week i left on my roadtrip to seattle from kansas. i get to nebraska on the way home and oil pressure is acting funny, mostly on the lower hashmark even under throttle. yup you guessed it, pulled the dipstick, and itgs LOW very low! as low as you can get with out having oil. wtf is going on!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! no visible oil leaks or smells.

Thunder your motor wasnt apart right? Most new motors burn oil when the cross hatch is too rough or smooth or if the rings were not staggered right to reduce blow by. Pull the plugs and see what they are like and just like fry said check the pvc valve.

did you put oil in it since you fixed the oil pan gasket??? i know it is a stupid question but given your history. hahaha i thought this was a used drop in? if so there is no break in like someone mentioned. have you check your radiator and intake manifold for oil yet?

yeah it was a used drop in. i know i said it was new, then used then new in the past but after i took a borescope to the cylinder it was used. i cant tell with the rad, look fine to me. the intake mani does have some light coating of oil in there.
