so what year models do I need to look for that would help me take out the guess work or which route should I take salvaged, reman, or rebuild??? the timing thing is not as big of a deal now that I know but the oil pressure is bothering me. if I rebuilt it I would have to rebuild all bottom end all top end has been done with all timing
it will say say 32 or 16 crank tone ring on the info sheet. there was a switch over in years where dodge started to make ncg the same time they did jtec. every place i called looking for my engine was able to tell me what tone ring it was. a jeep HO will always be a 16t. you can always pull the oil pan and check.
need to put 500 miles on odometer without driving means motor has went belly up any suggestions warranty will only cover it if I get 500 more miles on it please help can't afford to pay for motor my self after buying the warranty
I purchased an aftermarket warranty and it stated I needed to wait 30 days and have at least 1000 miles more on odometer before I could use it to repair anything I drove it 500 miles before motor blew now I have to get 500 more to be able to make a claim on the warranty hope this makes sense now
how would they know what your odom reading is? unless you bought it from some place in town. and why 1000 miles, if the motor blew at 3 miles i would still demand a refund or money etc. sounds like a shady warranty if anything under 1000 miles they dont cover??
they asked and I was for some reason honest but the reason for the 1000 miles is to not have to fix vehicles with preexisting conditions lol I have no clue what to do, but they would know the mileage when I take it to shop because they have contact with mechanic to approve the claim kinda like insurance claims
i dont think you need to put another 500 miles on the engine. you bought it from them expecting it to last longer than the truck itself. i think the 1000 mile rule is BS.
