you can possibly remove the VC without disconecting the rail. remove the 4, 8mm bolts that hold in the fuel rail you can lift it up. theres a little slack in the line so you should be able to lift it up and give you more room to remove the VC. your going to need a buddy to hold the crank when you loosen the cam sprocket bolt as well as getting the cam lined up once its installed again.
you can remove the vac. lines, makes it easier to get to things. or the pcv lines too that are on the both pass and driver side firewall on the back side of the intake.
