The whole front suspension and frame (A-arm mounts) are different.

So if i unbolted the front drive shaft, take off breaks spindles hubs and all that, unbolt front cv axles and diff could i just put in 2wd hubs? having to leave trans cse.
Im going for a customized long travel suspension but wasn't in the first place why its a 4x4 and with the torsion bars and extra weight of 4wheel parts my front will be to front heavy and to work around it is a pain in the ***.

There are plenty of baja 4x4s. Most use Porsche CV axles. Without you locking the rearend or at least a limited slip, it aint going nowhere in that deep sand with just 2wd.

There really aren't many that I've seen. The only "prerunner" type truck I've really seen or heard of that actually has the 4x4 fully working is the ford raptor (atleast to my knowledge)
But as a prerunner or TT you want 2wd over 4x4, 2wd is lighter in weight and there is a lesser chance of break downs with 2wd compared to 4x4 because there are less moving parts.
But yes hopefully I'll be one of the 4x4 prerunners lol I'm currently doing my homework on everything to do with these problems to work something out to keep my 4x4 fully functional.
