well, you also have the 5.2. I looked up the 4.7L and it does have a 6k limit, so I think the tachometer is just readjusted for 7k in 2001+ for some reason. I also have the 3.55 gears, maybe that just makes all the difference.

 

11 second o-60 props man deffently need that front shaft or a good hott nurn out get the tire warm and see if that helps

no thunder it was a 6800 i was on a on ramp to the free way down hill and i punched it and they kept climming and i was a little worried till it shifted and thats one reason i dont have a jet stage 2 chip on mine any more but i also figured hell theres no redline
