Default flowmaster 40 question

Im planing on purchasing a flowmaster 40 single/in and dual/out, just want to know if the dimensions would work for my 2002 dodge dakota sport 3.9 v6 4x4, the dimensions are 3.0" in and 2.5" out/duals on the flowmaster and I just want to know if I can put that on my truck.

I'm not sure on your motor but I can tell you, I like the sound of my 40 series however when i put it on it felt like there was a loss of get up, very minute but noticeable. I think for my 5.2L Flowmasters website called for something else. That is what I would recommend going with, what ever they recommend.

I think you need to find a muffler shop in your area that really knows what they are doing.. so they can give you the best advise possible.

To be honest with you man you might wind up taking advise and following through with it and it not be what your looking for and wind up just like me, with adverse effects you were not expecting like a decrease in get up and go..

When I got mine, they (Place I got it done) said that mine was a 2.5", when they put the muffler on they made it 3". about 2 or 3 feet before muffler and all of it after.
