Default Ghost in the drivers seat!

I have the 04 3.7 and have posted many of the problems I've had with my truck, but no luck finding out what it is. Here's a new one. Anyone ever been sitting at a light, foot on the brake and all the sudden have the rpm's shoot up and the truck lurched forward for a split second?? Kinda scared the heck out of me. After the split second that it did it the engine went back to idling up and down as it has for the last month. hasn't done it since. No clue what's wrong with this thing. Still no check engine light and still running like crap. Just about ready to call it quits with this one.

I've had something similar with this but it wasn't in a Dak.

My 04 Grand Prix did this sometimes and it turns out that it was a clogged TB - so dumb right?

I took it in and apparently the last time the MAF and the TB were cleaned, some jackass mechanic used the wrong cleaner (which actually turned out to be somewhat of an adhesive) which caused my TB to get clogged like a **** which resulted in delayed, sluggish response.

Don't know if this is the problem for your Dak, but this was one for my GP!

put some fuel injector cleaner through it and then maybe take it somewhere to get the throttle body cleaned out good of the carbon build up and stuff.. maybe that is your problem

I cleaned the throttle body out myself with throttle body cleaner and I've ran sea foam through it as well as injector cleaner at different times. Still acts the same. No worse, but no better.

Mine was doing something like that. I cleaned out the throttle position sensor as described in the DIY section and its been working so far.

TPS is new and I tried to clean the IAC valve, but am wondering if it's just to dirty to work right. It was caked with carbon. May try and get one and see what happens. The air inlet temp sensor is new as well. The only thing that isn't new sensor wise is the IAC valve.

What are the chances it could be o2 sensors bad and their just not throwing a code?? I swear I think this thing is possessed!!!!! I'm wondering if I just have a vacuum leak that I can't find and it's the tranny causing it to feel like a miss when it hits 50 mph, but is fine once I hit 60. Has anyone read anywhere that Dodge is having plenum gasket issues with the 3.7?
