Oh god, I would have a hard time driving my truck for that much.So for every two miles that you drive your spending about $1USD... Well I guess that why I'm getting a motorcycle

As for the 89... I went to fill up yesterday and figured I'd try the 89... until i realized it was $4.30 a gallon, 87 is $4.05. No way I'm paying $.25 a gallon more. I'll never get it back.

8.0 v10 and my buddy and my uncle have 01 rams with the 5.9 cummins and they see 18 average all day long. My uncle got 24 highway on his. I would take a cummins anyway but a v10 I would take if I couldn't get a diesel

Yeah well my buddy has an 08 and the emissions have gotten much more restrictive on diesels over the past 10 years. That's why the new ones don't see those numbers of 18, 19, or 20 mpg. Same reason TDI jetta's only get mid 30s now and used to be in the 40s all day.

well gas light just came on, 60 more miles on a tank of 89 over 87 total of 334 miles on 89 to 275 on 87 . Same driving patterns and conditions. And 30 + more with my new plugs over the old ones.

okay, now you have me pondering the switch. my fuel light is on, and for the last maybe 15 receipts, I've gotten consistently 12.4-12.6 MPG, doesnt matter if I keep OD on or off. I get about 225 miles out of each fill-up. on a Vee effing Six.

I got the 3.9 so i would try it, what have you got to loose. Have you ever ran any seafoam through your truck, because that milage really sucks? For me at kwik trip 89 and 87 are the same price, so for me its a no brainer when I fill up. Another reason Im getting the milage I am is am also running e-3 spark plugs. if you run them and are not impressed they will return you money for up to 5 years and 100,000 miles. I figured try them and if they suck I can always return them. So far I am impressed, I have felt more power better mileage out of them.

I'm gonna hit the track today. Gonna put 89 in it, drive around, then hit the track for the first time.

Also having Sean send me an SCT with a 93 tune on it for track days. He said that the way he maps the fuel curve, most people say the fuel mileage gain covers the 93 price.

Just from judging by the fuel gauge mine "looks" like it is getting more MPG from the 89 octane.I won't know for sure until I fill up again and even then I won't know until I run a second tank to confirm the MPG numbers from this first tank. It is good to see most people are getting better results with the higher octane.

I am glad to see more people getting better mileage as well. Proves it is not a fluke but something is actually going on here between the two grades. Part of me want to know if I went to 91 octane if I would get any better milage, after all I saw an increase on 89 octance. I guess I will have to give it a try someday.

12!!? Wow I can get 300 all day until my light comes on and I don't baby it by any means. Even without trying I'm getting 19 mpg. Plus I'm 4wd.
