Well im not a great fabricator. I used a piece of 1/4in plate as a cross member and a thick aluminum Z71 skid plate to make the one for the tranny. I just figured it would be easier to get the one made for tha gas tank as it dont look too easy to make.

Yeah try a junk yard I know my local yard takes off everything under the vehicle except for the axles. I have found a lot of stuff I needed just sitting in the back already unbolted. Ill sell you mine for 300.00 lol

I don't know about the 2004 since it was redesigned but 2001-87 all use the same exact skid plates, gas tank, front diff, transfercase. The 1st Gens are al over the junkyards now days.

I read somewhere that the 04 Quad cabs had a larger full tank or maybe it was just Quad cabs in general than the other models. Lol Ramguy, take zero off that and it's a deal.

My price has been reduced to 30.00 for the skid plate, Shipping is 270.00 lol and yeah the quad cabs have a 24 gal tank most have 22 gal and some are 15. Though I think the newer ones did away with 15 for 18 gal. I would bet they all would fit no matter what tank you have that way dodge didnt have to make 3 different skids.
