Default Oil level changing

So I have a strange problem with the oil level in my truck. So this has happened twice and I am not sure what is causing it. The oil level holds steady in the engine for a long time and then drops quickly after a couple months. I changed the oil two months ago, and have been checking the level a couple times a week and it has been holding steady. The start of this week the oil level was towards the bottom of the safe zone, and then today I noticed it has fallen to below the add line. I have been trying to think about what is causing this. I have looked and not seen any oil leaks.
I have thought it might be the plenum, but I am not sure because I thought wouldn't the oil level just keep dropping and never stay stable for a long period of time? . Is there a way to check and see if it is the Plenum causing this without tearing apart the engine?

Just so everyone knows it is a 99 dak 3.9 L.

Where exactly are you wanting me to look, at the back behind the muffler or somewhere else? Because i looked at the back of the tail pipe and nothing there but carbon from the exhaust.

Bump again. Come on guys I really need help with this one? Is there a way to see if the plenum has been changed already with out taking off the intake manifold? I bought the truck used and I didn't know about the action notice about this until after I was checking things out on here. If it is the plenum I could use a hand changing it, anyone in in the southern Minnesota/ Northern Iowa area willing to help please PM me.

Lightbulb do this or these

1 dose your tail pipe smell like burning oil?
2 dose your car smoke as you drive if burning oil it will be a white smoke not black.
3 dose your car smell like burning oil?
4 is thier oil in the radiator and dose it smell like oil at cap?

Sometimes you may never see oil under your car and still have a leak it leaks out as you drive.

This may test that go to a parking lot with no cars next to you sit and rev the engine somewhat don’t overdo it shut down and look under the truck see any oil?

If that didn’t get any results drive it in the parking lot in circles in the same spot for a few minutes revving the engine a few times stop get out and look for oil see any?

Check oil level on a level surface parking lot so on not on a slope like most driveways.

You may need to do the parking lot test after you get the engine HOT so drive it 5 to 10 minuts before testing it that way.

I have cheacked the radiator and nothing there. I have never smelled buring oil, or seen any white smoke out of it. I might have to drive it around and have the wife follow me just to check.

Im gonna try driving it around some after work tonight the parking lot will be empty.

One thing though is I am almost positive I am not burning it off, I changed my plugs last month and non had oily residue on them. Should I pull out the new plugs and check if they are?

Come on guys I really needs some help on this one

if your plugs have oily residue on them that means excessive amounts of oil are getting past your rings or valve steam seals would be my guess
