4.7 H.O seems the most reasonable if you were looking to upgrade if not im sure you could find another 4.7 for a good price

it would have been cheaper and less hassel if i bought a brand new hemi motor rather than dealing with that terrible company and then the oil pan problem. oh well. im happy with the ho.

Be careful looking at 08+ 4.7ls. They are a whole new beast with the DBW throttle bodies and 2 spark plugs per cylinder. A 05-07 HO would probably be your best bet.

If youre serious about an 08, you should be able to get the adapter plates from Airram and use an older style, cable operated, throttle body, along with the old sensors. I dont see why that wouldnt work. But, you still have the ignition .... Im not sure how that differs. It would be sweet to do an 08+ but Im not sure if it would be cost effective.

Dyno charts of the stock 08+ are not too impressive. Winston has proved it; the older 4.7l HO can produce just as much, if not more power than a stock 08+ can with simple bolt ons, when we talk about rwhp. We are still waiting to see results from a boosted 08+ 4.7l.

Yeah I was thinking about this last night, and the 08 would just be too many headaches with all the changes that they did. Hemi would be a great idea but with all the fab and wiring required with it I just dont have the time or tools. I found a 07 H.O with 6k miles on it... the only problem is.... that it is in Michigan. So I sent the guy an email and hopefully he could ship it for a decent price.

Well I just bought a 05 H.O motor. So hopefully everything will turn out better. I don't think there should be any problems with the swap, but is there anything I might be missing?
