spend the money and replace seals as needed, make sure the oil pan isnt warped like mine was then i had to spend $ to get it fixed a few weeks later. take it easy the first 500 miles, do an oil changer at 1k then beat on it.

I got it from that Ebay add that is posted earlier in this thread, that was the best deal that I could get my hands on. Also I'm having my mechanic look it over to make sure that it is up to speed.

What I was planning on doing was tearing down the whole motor fixing the problem and selling it OR port the heads on my old 4.7 and throw an agressive cam on it and test it on my old engine to make sure that everything is great and just swap the heads.

you already will have HO heads, thats where the power is at in the HO motor, then the cams. porting the heads is like $1600.

I was gonna port my own heads, and I would have thought that even porting non HO heads would preform better but I really don't know... and will my superchips work on this engine? or will i need to snag a PCM

Update. The engine I supposedly bought was sold about a week before I "purchased" it, So would the engine from the 08 durango work? or be more work than is necessary
