Default reprogram speedo

Got a 52 in a 40 in Dalworthington F****ng Gardens. Can't wait to see the fine. My 75 in a 60 on I-35 in Fort Worth was $200 two years ago.

Anywho,

Door sticker: 215/75-15 (27.69)
Actual: 265/70-16 (30.60)

35 on gauge = ~38 on GPS
50 on gauge = ~53 on GPS
60 on gauge = ~64 on GPS

hemifever said he can't change it, so other than the dealer, who can?

i know but it can. just have the dealer do it, or just ride with a gps so you can check your speed.

how much is to have the dealer do it?

Hopefully cheaper than the spare ignition key was...

Funny, my door sticker says 235 I think, and I've got 255's on there now soon to be 265. I guess I'm always speeding haha I never thought about that...

the first number doesn't matter so much. That's just how wide the tire is. The second number tells the story. It's the height of the sidewall, in % of width. The bigger the first number, the smaller the second number...normally.

215/75 = 8.5" wide, 6.35" sidewall
235/70 = 9.25" wide, 6.5" sidewall
255/70 = 10.04" wide, 7.03" sidewall
265/70 = 10.43" wide, 7.83" sidewall
