Default NOOBIE

I am looking at DAKS recently due to there sick exterior potential. BUt i dont like the HP, and have heard these daks arnt big on acceleration in fact they are really doggy.
BUt anyways i like the lowered sprt look. I want a 3.9, but either a reg or extended cab 4x4 must be 5psd. I only want the 4x4 if i can get it as low as this> http://memimage.cardomain.net/member...97_62_full.jpg.
I dont want to hear about how not to lower a 4.4 ,because if i get some more pwer out of that v6 with such as block, supercharger and other minor mods i think all wheel drive power on a fast truck is lethal and rare. But would it be possible...

well u saw my other post on the dyno now I have the programmer in and this weekend i will be putting my headers on. Now as far as HP even I dont think that article was correct, however with all my mods Im hopin to put around 175 to the tires. And then I will get a V-8 TB so hopefully I can get to around 200 then but I may be hoping for 2 much. Anyway dakotas r awesome trucks just make sure u do your routine maint.

as far as traction nope not yet but I think its a gearing problem. Lowering look at the Hotchkis TVS(total vehicle system) it is a 2/3 drop and will also improve your cornering and handling of your ride.

1)Well im assuming you have an auto. But besides that im surprised even with an(im assuming)auto you cant break traction? Im not talking about melting tires here, but not even a lil churping from the rubber. Maybe these trucks are doggy.
2)Do you think you could at least take a honda civic or any car of that fart cannon nature.
3) that above link didnt work so here is what im talking if i can get a 4.4 lowered like this, that would be the only way for me to get a 4by4...http://www.cardomain.com/ride/273397

You gotta remember these r heavy trucks, now when i low on gas I can sometimes get a decent chirp. However if u change out the gears on the truck you will be able to smoke'em. yes I do have an auto, and yes I can take a few mildly modded ricers however i have a buddy with an 02 Acura 3.2TL type S who kills me all the time(he pulled a 200 at the dyno when we went). BTW THAT DAKOTA IS SICK LOOKING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! IT JUST LOOKS CLEAN AND MEAN!!!!!!!!!! look for that TVS system i told you about and it should tuck it up nicely.

do you have aim??,
i like that dakota also wish it was mine, but could you imagine that thing with all wheel drive sitting like that, with a 5spd and a custom boost at only 6psi pulling 200+hp and getting decent gas mileage for a 4x4, its like a TRUCK version of a wrx!!!! and with a v8 4x4 man! it would be all around the sickest thing!!! BUt i need to know if a 4x4 can sit like that.

I have an airaid intake with the poweraid TB space. As far as the 4x4 sitting like that goto hotchkis and ask them although I wouldnt see why it couldnt. Also KRD makes a supercharger for our V6's for about 3600. Keep us posted as you build yours with pics. Here is a pic of mine.

yah but i would have to get a reg cab 4x4 to make up for the weight of the componets. a 2wd would be easier and lighter and better on gas, but who has a truck like that, i might have to do it with a v8 so can get a extened cab which my father has but its auto.
