Default Peplacing Power Steering Transducer

Last January I had to have the power steering pump in my 2000 Dakota replaced. Ever since then the check engine light comes on. I have been told it is because I have a bad pressure transducer or the pressure may be too low. I have no problem steering the truck so I’m assuming the pressure is satisfactory. My question is how much trouble is it to replace this transducer and where do I find it.

It's visible from above, just behind the power steering cooler. Just follow the steel line from the pump and you'll see it.

It's very easy to replace, it's threaded.

00DD - Thanks for the tip, I knew it couldn’t be too difficult as the folks at the Dodge dealership only wanted $190 to fix it. Once I knew what to look for I found the Yoyo that put in the PS pump didn’t plug the pressure transducer back up, the connection was just dangling there. What makes it doubly bad is the guys at the DD garage didn’t see to do it either, they wanted to replace the whole thing.

Glad you got it - and it was an easy fix.
