finally cleaned the throttle body and no luck, still have the little bounce when coming to a stop. I'll have to try a new IAC, but I'm in no hurry as its not a big issue. Thanks for all the help, I'll post up when I put on the new IAC

I have this very same little RPM blip when I come to a stop and I have a '97 w/5.2L and 5-speed. Coming up to a stop with the clutch pushed in the RPM's will bounce a little then settle down to normal.

I've replaced the TB w/a 52mm, the TPS, MAP and IAC and it still does it. My thought is it's the VSS but that's just an uneducated guess at this point.

See, I would think that's more normal or what I'd expect. But with mine, the RPM's go up and down, up and down until I come to a stop. I may just replace the VSS since it's not very expensive and easy to get to and see if that helps.

OK, my ignorance is showing through again. What is a VSS?

It's the vehicle speed sensor. It's at the back of the trans if you have a 2wd and back of the transfer case if you have a 4wd. There's also a sensor in your rear diff but I forget what that one does. I "think" that one might be for ABS but don't remember.
