Was asking because I have had issues with the USB cables before, especially the cheap knock-off type. Cause is usually a ground that is not a solid connection. Can try cleaning connectors with isopropyl (try to get 90% or better) and either a cotton swab or lint-free cloth of some kind.

Or you could go the route of spending the 14 dollars on the cheap FM transmitter that plugs into the headphone jack. Just takes 2 AA batteries and they last forever. The stereo I installed was purchased from a friend, and had no jacks..so it was the poor man's way to using my ipod...but it sounds just as good as CD's.

Yeah. Turns out the inlet is just a Female USB, so I'm going to try an iPod cable later. Truck was sent in for a last minute thing, turns out theres some problems with the diff, bearings, etc (great, my luck).

I have no headphone jacks, that's the problem. You mean the ones that go into the cigarette lighters, and transmit through a station?

no no no he means it plugs into the head phone jack on your ipod, you plug it in and set your radio station on the truck to the one on your ipod. no wires it just transmits the music wireless from ipod to radio

Yep, all you need is two AAA batteries for the transmitter. You COULD use the cig. lighter ones, it would also charge your ipod then. but those are like fifty bucks, rofl..i have a converter that converts from the truck's power jack to usb and/or three prong..so i use that to charge the ipod.

i use my usb connection, mine is in the back of the head unit... and it came with the usb cable with a male and female end, you plug the male end into the head unit and the female end is on the opposite side of the cable for your ipod to plug into, sort of like a extension cord, i have that wired into my glove box so my ipod sits in my glove box so i have no ipod or ipod cable showing. its pretty nice

I got a little extra cash, I'll just get the cig lighter one. Not like I need it, I don't smoke haha.
