Default gas miliage

NEED to improve MPG. I've sea roamed the tank, crank, and vacuum. Getting new plugs, and going to clean the objectors and throttle body, but is there any good miss out there? I was thinking about a short ram intake, removing the second CAT and new muffler. Has anyone seen good results with a new chip? oh and I'm flushing Tue trans soon.

I'm getting 13MPG if I'm lucky and have about half highway driving.

My truck: 02 Dakota 4.7 4X4 w/115k on it.

Um the best way to get better MPG's is by keeping your foot out of it. I've realized if I baby it i can get 15 otherwise I'm right around 11. I have a chip, intake, and exhaust as well as a 06 H.O engine.

What thermostat do you have? A cooler thermostat will lower your mileage.

I hate all of you! On my last fill up I got 12.59 mpg... and my Dak's a rwd 3.9. No way these new tires could have taken away 3 mpg's

get a vacuum gauge, and keep the needle as high as you can. a vacuum gauge is the only tool that will show how much load is on the engine. its cheep and easy. on my dakota the tach sort of shows load but not as good as vacuum gauge.
