Not a dakota but it can still handle off-road adventures

Looks good. For the wife/family car we got a 2003 Suzuki Grand Vitara 4x4, the SX4 is the GV little brother. We love it is a true 4x4 with a Low range and it still gets 25mpg.
I know the early years of the SX4 didn't have a AWD-Lock feature.
What year is yours?
Does it have the AWD-Lock or is it just AWD.
Don't know if your a member but these are the Suzuki forums I'm part of.

As for what AT's I'm putting on I already have made that mod. The tires on it currently are ATS Geolanders, smallest size they make haha. General grabbers are also available in that size but I wanted a less agressive tire. Once the lift goes on I will up size them one size and maybe switch over to some BFG all-terrains but their price is a HUGE down side.
Crazy4x4rt - It's a 2009 and does have iAWD lock that was the huge selling point for me. I kinda wished I had looked at some newer Gran Vitara's I really like the way they look but manuals are rare in the newer body style. Glad someone on here here knows what these little Suzuki's can actually do off-road. I'm a member on suzuki-forum but not the other I'll have to check that one out. I'm hoping to get mine to the point that it can handle easy trails around Uwharrie national forest, I should definitely get some good looks there lol. Nice Gran Vitara btw.

if you lift it and put on bigger tires, then load the roof down with toys, i seriously doubt your going to get 30mpg's, and with a new car payment it seems like maybe you would have been better off just keeping the dakota, just my opinion.
its cool to see cars that are capable of going on the beach though

I already put bigger tires on it didn't drop the fuel mileage. As for a car payment I don't have one, saved up all my money and paid cash for this car when I bought it. Don't get me wrong I loved my dakota but the $200 monthly repair bills and $100 tanks of gas were seriously getting old fast. Most of the other lifted SX4's on other forums are getting around 28-29 mpg, and as long as it stays above 25mpg I'll be completely happy seeing as that 10 mpg better than the dakota was getting lol.
