Exhaust Manifold Bolt Problem

Heli coil wont work. Expanding rate with heat is going to be too different. Your best best is to use a left handed drill bit to attempt to grab the remaining thread out. Ive had alot of sucess with this. Just a friendly tip however. PB Blaster will help alot when removed old stubborn exhaust studs.*
p.s. Im going to add this so no one jumps my @$$ saying im wrong... Im not saying that a heli coil will NEVER work... Im just saying its not the RIGHT way to fix this issue. a steel helicoil will expand different then the head... It may work, it may not... Heli coils arent designed for that extreme heat either...

I actually just used heli coils on my buddys work beater. All 3 of them are still holding. We beat the **** out of it not to mention it deals with his 50 miles drive everyday. Its actually a pretty safe fix and have done it on many customers vehicles. I have used them in atv's when the head studs would strip too.
