for the record i do not plan on launching in 4x4 with slicks in the back, the reason im getting slick is so i dont have to launch in 4x4. my best in 4x4 is a 15.05. so im in the 14's with slicks no problem.

I'd run the shortest tire you could, if it was just for racing. It would effectively give you more torque, and sap less HP.

looks like im going up to 17's, found a set of rt rims with tires for 100$.

hoosiers and traction bars showing up tomorrow. hopefully i can break into the low 14's with these.

I'm just curious why your using a 4x4 to turn into a racer? Is it just that's what you had on hand or is there something special about that truck that the 2wd Daks dont have or lack?
