Another tire question

Lift kit is ordered but on backorder and will be a month or two... got an 01 2wd dak that i wanna put 31x10.5r15 on! If i take the front plastic part of the bumper off will they fit? Im plannin on takin it off for the list anyways! Will they rub the frame or anywhere else! The wheels i will be puttin on have 4.5 backspacing! Let me know!

I think you can fit 33's on our trucks with little to no trimming.

I think you're gonna get rub with 31's on a stock 2wd. Mines lifted 2 inches and I get a little rub on full turn with my almost 31 inch tires.

what would it be rubbing tho? i would take that lower plastic skirt off the bumper.

They will rub alittle on the lower part of the bumper and when I had te fabtech lift it rubbed there and against the back of the fender well. I cut like 3" off the back part of my fender well and no rubbing after that. I had stock rims on mine so maybe your backspacing will save you from rubbing but not entirely sure

hmmmm i think i might just wedge em in for now cuz i need new tires bad! you cut the inside plactic well?

you can remove the plastic fender well, its held in by thoes xmas tree clips. or you can trim it.

It might rub the very bottom of the valance of the bumper but I think thats really it. Just a little bit of trimming and you would be fine. The 2wd wheel wells arent any smaller than the 4wd's

yeah i already had a problem with the skirt. half of it tore at the little tabs. so i skrewed it in. i will take it off and orer my tires and see what happens! shouldnt be rubbin, if so it shouldnt be bad for a month or two or carefully turnin!

Yeah the plastic wheel well is what it would rub on. You can trim those up though. If you just don't crank the wheel all the way right or left you'll be okay I think.
