Default trying to pick out tires any advice

I was looking online recently and at a few stores, looking at various mud tires. I have ran Pro comp mud terrains on my jeep wrangler for a few years and have been happy with them but 1k for tires is a little pricey. They are 35x12.5x15 though. I'm looking to get probably 31x10.5x15 for my dakota. Its a 2wd v6 so its sits low and I dont have any lift or anything currently so I doubt I could have 33s fit. The tires I was looking at rite now are Mud Claw radial MTS from NTB. Definity dakota mts from pep boys. Any suggestions?

I know that was kind of vague but just trying to find out what tires are recommended. My pro comps have been awesome in snow, mud, rain. Just to expensive. Hoping that these other tires may be good, or any other suggestions. Not going to be doing much other then daily driving.

I've always liked Goodyear Wranglers. 33's wouldn't fit, I had 32's on my 2wd Dakota, with no lift, and they rubbed really nasty.

Any particular reason you need mud terrains on your 2wd Dakota? Just asking since all terrains are cheaper and last longer. I figure since you have a 2wd that you probably won't actually be doing a lot of mudding with it.

As a road pounder you could get away with All terrains as stated above me not sure why you want a mud tire with out 4x4.. however i was in the same place and for the price + value and 18/32 tread depth.. I went with the Good Year Duratrac..

I loved my Destination MT. The wore great but where a little noisy. I honestly like the noise then again I'm 18, the louder something is the better

Destination MT have a very similar tread to my pro comp mud terrains. Both are expensive as all hell though. I'm not going to be doing much but in my opinion mud terrains look one a hell of a lot better and my jeep would go through all kinds of stuff with the mud terrains in 2wd. They just add much better traction. This is also the only vehicle I have ever owned thats not 4wd so I'm not looking forward to the winter

I just got a set of the general grabber at2s, couldn't ask for anything better. The tread is reasonably aggressive and they are not noisy at all. If I were you I would go more toward all terrains, especially on a 2wd.
