Well here's an update guys. I switched injectors and reset the ecm. Now I wait. But looking over things more and noticing an exhaust leak at the manifold revealed a missing or broken bolt on the middle of my manifold. Could a leak being right there be causing one cyl to run lean and misfire? Or am I ok to leave it leak there? I mean I know its not right. But will it hurt anything? Thanks everyone!

No, It will not cause a misfire. The you continue to have a misfire on number 3. Replace the cylinder head. Because you may have a burnt valve.

i was also fighting a misfire once. there are so many things to check, Once had a bad valve spring cause a misfire, have you checked compressiion on that cylinder and compare with others, if injector don't fix it, might take valve cover off and make sure spring coil isnt broke and valvetrain is working smooth ?

whats up guys, im a friend of mudder_dak, and while talking to him we are pretty sure its something with the valves. im thinking it burnt a valve, or broke a spring. he did do a compression test on it and all the other cylinders were around 125 i think and cylinder #3 was only like 50psi. he put drops of oil in it to see if compression went up to verify bad rings but it did not. so we go from there. i havent been over to look at it myself yet but he plans to pull the valve cover and see if there is anything visible there. if nothing is then plans to pull the head off.

If it were me, I would put air into cylinders and turn engine over so both valves are closed and see if its coming out the intake or exhaust, Might have to take valve cover off to make sure

well we found the problem, we first pulled the valve cover and didnt see anything visibly wrong. so from there we pulled the heads off. first let me point out that there was no exhaust manifold gaskets. and then once we got both heads off we found out that one of them was on upside down from the other. now we dont know right now which one was upside down but cylinders one and three were leaking into eachother. cylinder one was a little dirty, cylinder 3 was super dirty, and cylinder 5 was spotless. this is just refering to the area on the heads. how dirty the valves were and whatnot. but yea, it had a blown head gasket, an upside down head gasket. and now exhaust manifold gaskets at all. just thought i would let everyone know that.
