Well I may try the sonnax thing, I've done the tmr mod. But since I done it my truck shifts at like 4200 rpm under WOT.

the 00 4.7 have a different shift pattern that the other years, dunno why. another guy on here also has a 00 and did the sonnax. my trucks shifts well past 5k, and his was around 4800 too i think.

Well that's why I thought about a valve body because I thought it could make my truck shift better and hold out up in to the 5500 rpm range.

Or would I have to have the computer flashed to change the shift pattern?

i have no idea, its probably with the tcm. maybe get a tcm from a 01+

on a stock motor no point in shifting at 5500, hardly makes any power up there. after 4800 rpm on my old motor my dyno sheet showed the power drop off quite a bit after that.

Thunder beat me to it in his last reply!
Unless you've done a lot of mods to your motor (including cams) there's no need trying to get your shift points any higher. She's all done by 4800rpm, just making more noise!

With 212x cams and a Sonex, mine is still pulling hard at it up-shifts at 5500. I still haven't gotten round to doing the TMR mod yet....

Can I get programmer and alter my shift points, like an SCT?

Where can I get cams for this motor, I see you have the 212's. I was looking into 206's?

Can you use the superchips to tune the tranny and then use the SCT to tune the pcm?
