Default Shift Kit or Sharadon Valve Body

Which would be best, I don't like how my 45rfe shifts. My tranny seems to have a lazy shifting problem.

What are the benefits of using the shift kit over the valve body?

What are the benefits of using the valve body over the shift kit?

Would either of these help with fuel mileage, (yes I know dakotas aren't known for good mileage) and I'm not hoping for like 2 or 3 mpg gains. But maybe like .5 or maybe 1 mpg gain.

Thanks in advance.

Don't bother with Transgo shift kit! They don't really do much for these electrinicly controlled boxes. I know, I fitted one to mine! Everything the Transgo kit tries do is automaticly compensated for by the ECU, so it ends up doing nothing.

Afterwards, I fitted a Sonnax line pressure booster which somehow dupes the ECU into doing what the Transgo kit wanted to do, and it REALLY makes a difference. Best of all, its a 5 minute job to fit OR remove.

Will it help with my lazy tranny shifting points?

i am just getting into my flashpaq but i have read and noticed that you can change shift points. the biggest mpg improver i have noticed so far has been taking off my mechanical fan, but i haven't had the programmer long enough.

Is the stage 3 practical for a daily driver?

it probably wont do a thing for mileage. i cant see how it would help or hurt either way.

do the sonnax and tmr mod first and see how you like that.
