Default Selling the dak. Whats it worth?

After many months of no truck and not being able to find all the 5 speed parts im going to sell it. I have all the money for a rebuild(1,500) but I decided its better to save that money and just sell as is. I found a 02 cummins a week ago about 20 miles from me. He said he had a guy coming to look at it later on. Needless to say it was my buddy that was looking at it. lol So after driving it once my buddy brought it home I fell in love!! I've been on a man hunt for a cummins!!! My buddy took that last nice one in pa! lol

My truck has 95k. Power everything except seats New 32in bfg's,sct, intake, exhaust,Hid's,Blacked out headlights, taillights and rims, Sony head unit,In channel vent visors, tow package. Parts: Water pump, fuel pump, serpentine belt, All new steel and rubber brake lines,2 new calipers,Left wheel bearing, Brakes all around(10k ago) Only rust left on the truck is rear bumper, Under the cab on the corners and right fender. I was thinking 3k is fair deal 3,000+1,500(tranny)=4,500 thats 1,000 under book price. I have the money for a new truck just need to sell this first. I really hate to but Im in love with cummins now! So what do you all think about price?

This is the one my buddy got. 02 5.9 6 speed south bend dual disk clutch, 4in mbrp exhaust, edge comp and intake. He has been getting around 20 in town!!

Default just what Im thinking of

I just love my Dakota but I’m thinking of an older say 2002 to 2005 RAM 1500 truck mainly more power more room and more used parts available out their more RAM's were sold than Dakotas by far and at almost the same price as a used Dakota the RAM 1500 is a better deal.

Around me there are lots of daks in the junk yard. And there were early 02 rams(2nd gen) then late model 02's (3rd gens)

I think 3k is a good, fair price given it's condition. However, I would start it out around $3,500, because most people will come in with a lower offer to start with. So I always take what I think something is worth and add a bit to it so I can maximize the return on my investment (not to sound like some stock broker here lol). Good luck with the sale!

edit: You better post up some pics of that new bad boy cummins when you get one!!

My other buddy has a 05 and when it was stock he couldnt do any better than 18 on the highway. After a lift and 35's he is now down to 14. He just bought a 97 toyota tacoma for going back and forth to work. I dont want a newer 6.7 ill stick with the old 5.9!

Yeah I figured I mean someone can even get a used one for 500.00 and they will have a 3,500 truck and could turn it around and make a profit off of it. Ill post some up dont worry. I have to much dak knowledge to just leave the section for good. So ill still be around even when I have a ram lol

Pass from the fastest mid-size truck to that is just sad And I preffer to have a newer one because of stock of parts the older ones almost didn't come to CR
