Just wanted to say howdo. Newbie to this forum from NE Ohio. Mine is a 99 Sunfire Yellow Sport. I bought it used last year. It has 56k miles, keyless entry, power windows, cruise, air, tilt, electric sliding sunroof, AM/FM CD. I put a series 40 muffler and Moroso 9" open air cleaner on to get it to run like a V6. I don't really like the V6, but my Grand Cherokee has the 4.7 and one gas hog is enough in the family, well two if you include my Javelin, so I went with the V6 on this one. Plus my wife was pushing for it as she liked the color and the sunroof.

I just had the catalytic converter replaced, had a rattle inside, it was still under warranty, so that was a freebie from mopar. Its not to bad of a truck. Ride sucks in it compared to the Jeep, but I just run it back and forth to work. On trips and such we take the Jeep.
After swapping out the muffler and air cleaner, I drive it more often. Even my wife was complaining about the performance when we first got it, she's hooked on the 4.7. But she agrees the Dakota runs better now than before. Not good enough to give me back the Jeep, heh, oh well....

My Javelin is a 68, I'm slowly restoring that, actually its more of as money allows. I'm putting all new brake lines on that, shoes, wheel cylinders, the whole 9 yards. I have the front clip off, repairing the fender gussets. They took a pretty good rust hit. Has a 290, will probably change it over to a 343. But with the price of gas, I might keep the 290 in it. Car hasn't been on the road in over 10 years, motor hasn't been started about 5 years. Body needs work, but the frame and floorboards are pretty solid. Past three years I've been gathering up parts for it.

Well, thanks for letting me ramble. Later..

Chris
