Can’t find one for the 2.5 that’s why I’m making my own even though its $$ I want to give it a try may not even help the 2.5.

Besides I like making things like this from scratch

Its only money

Which CAI did you get Trent479? I am thinking about ordering one.

When you say power and torque do you just mean how it feels like as in low end.. or are you talking about responsiveness and/or faster acceleration?

what about low output.. normal driving acceleration.. and WOT acceleration. these are the things that matter most to me.

Most people in these trucks want better acceleration... some want it in stomping in the gas.. others like me just want better acceleration while driving normally.. better response out of the engine.

It would really give a better insight for those looking to do this rather they actually want to spend the time and money if they had these details.

A CAI alone won't yield you very much, plain and simple. Where the CAI really comes into play is when you put on a less restrictive exhaust and start messing with cams and stuff. Just a CAI will maybe get you 1mpg increase. It should help a little with responsiveness though. Nothing like throw you in the seat difference but if you want that swap in some 4.56 gears.

I agree with MoparMan1991 in that you need to open up both ends of the engine to get any improvement in hp or mileage. As much as anything, I liked how the CAI cleaned up my engine compartment.

I agree as well. I also installed a 49(I think)mm ported throttle body. I also had the shop install a cherrybomb turbo muffler. It's a cheap $20-something muffler that makes a good OEM replacement.
