Default Plugs and wires?

What do you guys reccomend? I have used Magnacore wires and ngk v-power plugs before and was very happy. I want more performance out of them and have supporting mods on the way. What gap? Thanks.

I believe the factory gap is 0.040 in, not 0.4. The .0 matters!

People have had success with Autolite 3923's. Throw in some 8mm wires too. I think the gap is .035

I just changed my plugs and wires a month or so ago. I got the Autolite 3923 Copper Cores and Bosch 09713 Premium Spark Plug Wires (I forget the gauge). The gap for my Dakota is 0.040.

This setup worked out very well for me.

I hear the NGK plugs are also good. You'll make out fine with either the Autolites or the NGKs.

Best of luck!

Great i did some more searching and the autolites seem like the winner. So go with the bosch wires too for better performance. Thanks guys.

Or if you want you can go for an MSD or Accel ignition system.

Just my opinion: copper core Autolites seem to be the best bang for your buck and performance. I never read any reviews that gushed over platinums, iridiums, tungstons and the like (for any vehicle) - seems like just a ploy to get you to pay more for something that doesn't make any difference.

The wires I used work mighty good for me but doesn't hurt to search on what wires work best for the type of truck setup that you have.

...Just sayin'

Good luck!
