Default Quick exhaust question

Hey all quick question, I'm planning on putting side pipes on my dakota 3.9L. Anyone ever done it with a 20" cherry bomb glass pack? How did it sound? I cant find any videos anywhere, hence why I am asking :P
Or would it be better to go with a 7 inch glass pack? Thx!
edit: my exhaust fell off recently and I am loving the sound! But i need a a muffler of sorts cause the mileage is kinda harsh without one!

Really? I know mine has gone down , it took twice the amount of gas to go to school and back then it usually does with no muffler. Odd.
edit: by the way nice color on your truck! :P

I've got a straight pipe turned down just before rear axle and it seems like I'm getting better mileage by about 1 mpg on average (I have the 3.9 as well).

Hmm, might just go with the 7" glasspack and turn before the wheel then. Legally I need a muffler and I can't afford a ticket right now -.-

McNasy, If I can see right I believe we have the same color, as well with white on it! Did you add pipe after that or just let the system end where the muffler was? I love the power I picked up with the muffler delete though, I can put this thing sideways on dry pavement!

Yeah, it's illegal I think in almost every state (definitely Illinois) to take off the muffler... But lots of people do it here and the coppers don't care. I go by them all the time and have never even gotten a look from any of them. I can't afford a ticket either lol, I live on the edge.

at first i just put a strait pipe in where the muffler was. then the pipe rusted out right after where the muffler should be............... then it rusted out right after the cat. that is where i am at today. way to much resignating in the cab! but sounds good outside. it is illegal in wisconsin, but can pass a cop with no issue, and pass emissions as well.

The reduced back pressure shouldn't cause much of an increase in mileage. I really doubt its enough to measure.

But the increased noise would likely make your right foot a bit lighter.

just sayin
