Question Best exhaust for 3.9L Dakota?

Hi wondering what exhaust to get that is cheap that will make it sound a little louder and meaner and thinking about just a muffler what would be best?

Here's a good thread for you to check out:

It's polled so, it sums-up everyone's opinion that was involved with the tread.

Good luck!

P.S. My Dynomax 17219 was $60 shipped on Amazon.

I have a 2003 dodge dakota i bought the thrush turbo muffler from ebay it cost me 30 bucks. I went to the muffler shop today to get installed and i love it.at idle it sounds like stock muffler but if you step on it, it gives this nice rumble to it ...this muffler is like the stock one but with better flow and a little more rumble to it . I would recommend if u dont want nothing to loud.

Default 02 3.9 v6 dodge dakota

Im looking into some mufflers for my dakota im looking for a deep one with a mean growl to it. So far i like the flowmaster series 40 and series 10. Anyone have any other suggestions?

Check the videos on youtube of the various mufflers. Just get the one that has the sound you want, won't make any difference at all on power.
