So... What are good companies to get a H/O 5.9 with matching auto tranny from? I can find loads of normal 5.9s but never any H/Os. Next part is, Do I need to replace the controller/computer of the 4.7 with that of a 5.9? And would QC, CC or RC computer make a difference to the interior functions? And would it be easier to try to find a donor truck for all the parts or the parts individually?

Basically I would be taking a 02 4.7l Dakota QC auto 4x4 and swapping components to make it a 02 H/O 5.9l Dakota QC auto 4x4. Once that is complete, I add my desired engine upgrades (supercharger, stroked pistons, etc.) and then upgrade the suspension so I can put the power to the pavement. In the end I want to be able to beat my buddy's 05 5.7l Ram 1500 CC SB auto 4x4. And yes in the town I live in we race 4-wheelers not cars.
