thanks ramguy. now that you said that i will probably get some bondo too. but, still am leaning more towards color matching paint than bed liner because i also wanted to fix a dent on the top of my tail gate that is now rusting and the bed liner would look weird in that location.

Yeah, I'm saying I used both fiberglass and bondo. I would highly recommend using bondo for what you're doing.

stupid question but, you have to buy the hardener separate from the body filler right?
also thats all you need is the body filler, hardener and the spreader.

I'm pretty sure when I bought my bondo brand stuff, it came with the hardner in a separate container in the top cap. Not sure though.

will have to look at the container when i buy it. also dirtbiker how hard was it to do the v8 throttle body swap the only thing i heard about that is that you have to get a new throttle cable too and is the performance gains really worth it to do?

Pretty easy. All you do is swap all the sensors and stuff. Get a new gasket too. Clean the new throttle body good. And the throttle cable thing... I just kinda hacked something together cuz I didn't want to buy a new one. It works just fine. It was definitely worth it, especially since I got mine really cheap. You can definitely feel the difference in the upper band.

if you grind it down you will have a low spot you need to fill the low spot you made. Grind it sand it fill it shape the filler sand the filler. wipe it with a solvent grease and wax remover prime it sand primer. glaze it with putty for pin holes prime it wet sand it wipe it again tack it paint it

Definitely do use bondo when you sand for a nice level surface once its done. You will see the high and low spots if you don't use it. The hardener does come with the bond btw
Hope this helps
