Default Lift or no lift?

I have a 98 in stock form and I have been intrested in lifting it with a 2" lift kit just to bring it up off the ground some. I talked to a guy yesterday who told me he would advise me not to lift due to the rattling I would hear. He said instead I should just upgrade my rims and tires to bigger sizes because the wheel well has planty of room to go bigger with out lifting. I just want to see what kinda problems people delt with after the lift? whether it was worth it? or if I should just get bigger rims and tires?

IDK about "Planty of room" I would do a lift.. You'll need to do an alignment after.. though.. any rattling would have to be if the guy had some defective parts on his suspension and steering.. LOL

if you plan on going 32+ plan on it rubbing, here in pa that will not pass unless you know somebody who can slap a sticker on it

do not do a body lift if you decide to lift it get a suspension lift #1. #2see price diffrences and decide exactly what you want be sure though because it would suck to spend all that money and time only to do it all over again check out desertrat.com for rim and tires they have really good prices on rim and tire combo's
