Who here has used it? I am gonna tint my tail lights an i bought a can of it i know i need a can of clear coat an 2000it grit sand paper. What else an what steps should i do when applying night shade please help!

i never prepped mine. just cleaned it off and started with a light base coat. then did a few light coats (go as dark as you want.) let it dry then clear the hell out of it.

I literally just cleaned mine off, took them off and sprayed on a few coats. Turned out fine for me

I watched a video where a guy wet sanded his after hand washing then dried them then put paint thinner on it? Then painted a coat then did three coats then three coats of clear an then sanded it again an i just got lost fpr real lol

I wouldn't bother with any of that. Just clean them good and put a coat on, let it dry, recoat to desired tint. 2-3 should be adequate and legal.

I never sanded or clear coated mine. I did 3 coats and that was it. Held up great in 4 years.

I wish I would of went a bit darker tho

Looks sweet. I just think since my tails are leds they will look sexy tinted lol

Yeah prob will mine are aftermarket black ones so tinting them wont change it much lol

heres how mine turned out there dirty but you can still see it i just cleaned them really well then sprayed a light coat then a heavier coat so about 2 in all and holding up fine and still looks sharp

I was gonna do that on my ram but I back up in the dark a lot of the time so having a reverse lights is a must. I dont like the look of hanging aux lights down from my bumper.
