Default Painted My Rims

Well a few weeks ago I bought a pair of rims (the 15x8 ones) and decided to paint them black. Tell me what you guys think. I think the truck looks a lot cleaner with the stock silver rims on it, but with the black it makes it look more rugged - like a truck should look. What do you guys think? It rained shortly after I put them on so the truck is dirty.

Im going to have to repaint them to get them perfect because they got some dings in it when I had the tires switched over.

Looks great. Do the 31x10.5x15 tires effect your speedometer? Or mpg?

Looks like you did a good job on them

Thanks guys.

They throw off the speedo a little but thats just because when I bought it, it had the smallest tires I think you could fit on it - looked pretty pathetic. MPG I can't complain about for it being a dak.

Looks real good I think. I really like how the stockers look in black. I've been saying I'm going to do this for a long time but haven't had a chance...

Looks good. What paint did you use?

I've had good results with DupliColor silver wheel paint, it matches the silver on the stock Dakota rims on my Dad's truck pretty good.

When my summer tires get replaced, I plan on having the wheel weights moved from the front lip to the backside of the wheel, then sand and paint the lips to cover up the old wieght marks.

Thanks! I used basic filler primer, Duplicolor wheel paint and then Duplicolor clear coat.
