No - I wanted to have a look at the o2 sensors the day it wouldn't start so I figured I better not fudge with it. Im hoping its solved... I am already sick of tired busing it to work (mind you I need to wake up at 5:30 to make it on time). Glad that I am fortunate to have a vehicle.

Thumbs up well good luck

Well good luck maybe that’s it for you so many people have strange running engines as of late.

Everyone should replace all there sensors in progression as the Dakota gets old a good starting point would be around the 130K mark start replacing your O2’s, Map, TPS and others keeps you ahead of the problems.

I would also say never toss any old sensor keep them as backups and lable them so you know what they are and were it was removed.

Alright guys well since I have had the o2 sensors replaced it hasn't backfired once - the truck seems to have a MUCH better idle now and I feel like it picks up a lot quicker than it did before.

For all who have been having this backfire issue - check your o2 sensors!
