Exclamation At home never worked for me

If you have good water pressure give it a try what can you lose?

Warm to cool is probably best even though I have done it hot before just took it easy if she is real hot just last time she was hot when I did it but my engine is all cast iron not aluminum with aluminum you should do it cool or warm just barely warm aluminum warps all too easy.

So my advice is cool to Luke warm with aluminum heads or blocks

Hey just thought Id revive this thread to help you all, I fixed it. I couldnt find a leak but knew there had to be one somewhere, so I took crisco and used it on every connector, it fixed the problem.

I noticed some white paste on the controller as a sealant it reminded me of cricso, so I got everything I could, from the break booster to the vac tank, to the numerous connections in the dash,

Be warned though, theres sharp metal in the dash I got cut pretty good.

Crisco?

It must smell like french fries on a hot day.

Ah, the real stuff, white lithium grease, im gona pick some up and just keep it in the garage.

And dear lord I hope not about the smell, my dad works all day making fries, if he smells that hes probably gona make me sell it sooner then I want.

Next project, heater core bypass. Thats after I get it back from the shop, Im having the valve cover gaskets replaced. They were leaking so much oil I was adding a quart every 400 miles.
