I am new here and I am looking for info on helping me with my 02 Dakota, Love this truck, and its got a growling sound coming from the rear end. Any Idea's from you guys. Don't drive her much because of a disability but do use her for hunting and fishing, and short trips around home.

The most likely cause would be the pinion shaft bearings or side gear bearings. But i will move you post to the 2 Gen Dakota section, the members there may have other ideals.
