Default Spare tire holder Exension

So as a friend and myself went to pull my truck bed off so that we could replace the fuel pump I learned that when going to remove the spare tire that the extension that runs from the carrier to the bumper was rounded off and ended up sticking a screw driver in the end so that we could lower it. Does any one know where I can get a replacement extension and the tool that is used to lower it for a decent price? I like keeping it under the bed so that it is out of the way but I also want to be able to get it down when I need it. Any help would very appreciated.

I have the whole thing to lower the spare. Removed tire to make room for propane tanks in 2003. I still have it floating around my garage.

Thanks, I actually just found one yesterday at a pick and pull along with a v-8 throttle body that I am going to be putting on this weekend.

Glad you found a used replacement easily. Can you tell me if the bed has to come off to replace the entire winch mechanism or can it be removed with the bed on?

well if you can get a wrench or a socket around to the back side of it where the bolts are from underneath then yes you can. To me it seems easier to pull the bed to get to it.

That's what I figured. I eyeballed it the last time I was under there and it looks almost impossible to get a wrench on top with the bed in the way.
