That’s why you make sure no one is around to see you.

Most people don’t know what Freon is or how it works so even if they see you they probably wouldn’t understand what it was you were doing. Most people don’t even know what an oil filter looks like some don’t even know you put air in your tires or even lift up the hood of their car.

The clutch itself may be bad, that may be what you're smelling.

Very few mechanics will replace the clutch. It's easier and usually cheaper with the labor to replace the compressor.

You don't have to evacuate the system to replace the clutch.
