Remote sets off alarm 2001 QC 4.7
Hey guys new to the forum here,
I got a 2001 dakota quad cab 4.7...here lately, every time I go somewhere for any amount of time and lock my truck using the remote I come back and try to unlock it with the remote the alarm goes off...I have to quickly hit the lock button until it stops and then it will unlock...any ideas that might help me? Disabling the alarm is ok with me but i am unsure how to do it.

The security system is in the CTM.
Try using your key to unlock the door and disarm them that way, to see if it still goes off.
I know of no way to disable the security. It arms "passively". If you want to, lock the doors with the mechanical button. According to the FSM it won't arm security that way.
A dealer can scan the system to find out what's up. It sounds like an issue with the CTM.
