A/C issues
Hello fellow forum friends I have been very sick these last three weeks and float between feeling ok one day then rather out of it the next not sure what’s going on with me I try to keep posting but today I’m rather out of it and not very clear headed so if I don’t get back to you I’m in bed or on the floor!
Just another thought, since something appears to be filling with water and it might be condensate...
After you drive a bit the plenum fills with water so it restricts airflow through the plenum causing your a/c to not be as cool. In addition, if it gets high enough, maybe the water is contacting the heater core and getting heated that way.
Fix the drainage issues and see what happens.
98, I hope you're OK.

Feel better now every other morning I wake up just exhausted and can barely get myself moving and fall asleep every 15 minutes and can’t think clear till I give up and go back to bed.

This weekend when I'm at the in-law's I'll take the shop vac and try to solve the clogged condensate drain, and try to vacuum up and remaining water on the floor and try to get it dried out. I'll leave the doors open all day if I can.
Oddly enough I'm having A/C issues seeing I'm a mechanical engineer that designs HVAC systems for buildings... I just don't know a ton about how they are setup vehicles.
00DakDan - where are you in Mass btw? I'm originally from Norwich CT, now living in Plattsburgh NY but I'm pretty familiar with Mass...

Once you get the problem fixed you need to get the carpet and jute pad dried out the very best you can. If you don't you will have a good chance of developing mold and mildew in the truck. Mildew stinks real bad and mold can make you very sick, it causes respiratory problems and it can even kill you if you are exposed to it for a long enough time. Maybe at the very least remove the center floor console around the gear shifter and pull the carpet back as far as possible on the passenger's side and prop the carpet up somehow. Then if you are able to, you can hit the carpet, jute and floor pan with a heat gun or hair dryer. If possible let it sit with the windows down and carpet pulled up, let the truck sit in the heat like that for several days somewhere to air it out. That is not so easy when it rains every day but you need to dry the interior out or you will have problems. The truck's fan won't be able to completely dry out the jute or the water in the floor pan.

I'll have to park so I can see my truck from my apartment and keep an eye on it with the windows down. Not supposed to be raining tomorrow.
Even after it has dried, what can I do to clean it? I can already start to smell mildew. What can I do to clean the carpet after and 'sanitize' it? Will regular carpet cleaner do anything?
It's usually pretty windy/breezy at my in-law's (they live in the mountains of Vermont) so I can clean it and leave the doors open this weekend and it should dry out. Supposed to be cooler and much less humidity the next few days, hopefully that will help.
Peel back the carpet if you can so the air can get to it spray with Lysol anti mildew spray if bad but that leaves a smell of its own. Placing old towels on it to soak up the water helps.
Oh so you live in the part of Mass that nobody knows is there
