Default Pinging 02 QC 4.7

Hey Guys, I have an 02 QC 4x4 4.7, just need to sort my pinging issue. I ran the stock NGK plugs for a year, and started to get some pinging and little loss of power when warm, so I swapped in the Autolites 3923's. Ran great for a few days MPG seemed better. But now I have a ping or detonation cold and moderate load. When it gets warm outside like 70+ it doesn't do it. Cold mornings it dose it. I thought running the cooler range plug would help pinging, but its still there. The truck is stock, only mod is exhaust.

Any ideas to get the pinging gone would be great. Maybe 5224's?

Stock is not an NGK plug. It's a Champion RC12MCC4.

3923's run great in a 5.2 or 5.9 but are not listed for the 4.7.

Try 5224's.

If you're pinging I'd go back to the stock plug - Champion Copper core.

So I swapped in the 5224's and the pining is still there. On my way in to work in the mornings it still there, on the way home its not as bad... Any Ideas? I have no codes, and it kinda started all of a sudden.

Are you sure it's a ping?

It'd be more likely to ping when hot rather than cold. Could it be a tick, maybe a lifter or leaking exhaust manifold?
