"RUSTED BED?" thats why i bought my 01. the idea was the truck was being sold cause of the rust, meaning the drive train was not bad. i think it worked.

You have checked your local wrecker right? Research pull-it-yourself auto yards and you can get it as low as $76.00 in my area. Don't believe me? I'll link ya.

I see more and more Dakotas on the road now so some are bound to be in a junkyard... Not all are gonna be rusted out.

Have you talked to any auto body shops about replacing some or all the rusted out parts it just may be cheaper or about the same as buying a used bed. Plus you can get the bed painted at the same time

Were are the bad spots under the bed in the bed or on the outside of the bed? The inside and under can be made cheaper just tell them you are not to concerned with spots that cant be seen just fix them. The outside is the concern you want it to look good.

Get some estimates I don’t think that is all too hard for any good auto body shop to do.

Better than replacing the bed

Post some pic's all sides all bad spots

I went to a well known body shop around my area and they estimated at 700 a side so its 1400 total I can get a new bed and a paint jobsbwith that money

Default Wow that seams kind of pricy

Wow that seams kind of pricy look in Craig’s list for a freelancer to do it

Did you get any other estimates? Sometimes the best is not what you want unless you have unlimited funds
